■ここではジュエリーデザイナー村松真が手がけるブランド『mur.CONTINENT/ムーア・コンチネント』の代表的な作品をご紹介します。
クールなデザインラインと、やわらかな曲線のバランスが織りなす近未来ジュエリー。誰も見たことのない、未知なる大陸になぞらえたブランドネーム。そして、全ての作品にはそれぞれに何かの意味を持ち、ストーリー性があるジュエリーたちです。あなたにとって、初めて出会うジュエリーがここにあります。
■ムーア・コンチネントのコンセプトであるムーア大陸の物語

■スペシャルカット アメトリン シリーズ
同じ水晶系の宝石であるアメシストのパープルと、シトリンのオレンジカラーがグラデーションを見せるアメトリン。そのアメトリンには人の心の動きを示す斬新なカットが施され、『貫き』・『旋律』・『清涼』というテーマのもと、ムーア・コンチネントを代表するジュエリーとして完成しました。メンズジュエリーとしても使用できるダイナミックなデザインも印象的です。
■トルマリン シリーズ
落ち着いた深緑の光を放つグリーントルマリンと、希少価値の高いゴールデンカラーを見せるイエロートルマリンは『誕生』・『庭園』というテーマで表現されています。また、スティック状にカットされたシンプルかつ個性的なペンダントも掲載。
■ブルートパーズ シリーズ
ロンドンの空を連想させるため、ロンドンブルーと呼ばれる深い青色のブルートパーズ。それに氷の塊のようなカットを施し、『氷河』というテーマで、固い氷が低地へ徐々に流れ出す光景をジュエリーに表現されています。
■ストロベリークォーツ シリーズ
レピドクロサイト（鱗鉄鉱）という赤い成分が透明感あるクォーツ（水晶）の中に含まれ、とても幻想的な宝石。それを『未来飛行』という斬新なテーマにより、ペンダントブローチと指輪に形を変えています。
■ルチルクォーツ シリーズ
金色の針が水晶の結晶に閉じ込められたルチルクォーツ。「ヴィーナスの髪」とも呼ばれるルチル（金紅石）が同じ入り方をする石は二つとありません。ムーア･コンチネントでは特に透明感の高いルチルクォーツを選別し、氷のように透き通った衣、『氷の衣』というテーマでペンダントとリングとして表現しています。
■スペシャルカットストーン シリーズ
ドイツのストーンカメオ彫刻家ゲルハルド・シュミット氏が大きめのカラーストーンにインタリオ彫り（沈み彫り）を施した作品をペンダントブローチとしてデザインしたシリーズ。
■カラーストーンカメオ シリーズ
ドイツのストーンカメオ彫刻家ミシャエル・ポイスター氏が、カメオの素材としては珍しいカラーストーンに彫刻を施した作品をペンダントブローチとしてデザインしたシリーズ。
ムーア・コンチネント・ストーリー/mur.CONTINENT STORY
■まだ人間が何も文明を持たない程の昔、太古の地球には現代でいう六大陸の他にもう一つの美しい大陸が存在しました。その大陸では川や草花などの自然や、そこに住む動物たちは何かの光を帯びているように美しく、また他の大陸には無い鉱物が簡単に見つかります。そしてその鉱物のほとんどは不思議な強い力を秘めていました。
美しい地球、特にその大陸を気に入り、天界から頻繁に行き来していた芸術を司る女神ムーアは、その七番目の大陸のあまりの居心地の良さに、いつしか天界に帰ることすら忘れていました。
ある地域にだけ生息する七色の羽を持つ鳥『ラズ』はお気に入りの鉱物をどこからか拾ってきては、巣に持ち帰る習性がありました。ある時いつものようにラズが落としていった鉱物を眺めながら指輪の造形を考えていたムーアのもとに、この美しい大陸の噂を聞きつけた天界の仲間が一人やって来てからというもの、ほんの二百年程の間に十二人の女神を中心とした小さな国ができました。女神たちは自分たちの持っている力に見合った鉱物を、ムーアが装身具に仕立て上げ、それをいつも身に着けていました。
それからまた数百年、豊かな大地に恵まれた平和な国に、あるとき魔界から恐ろしい魔物の群れが押し寄せて来ました。魔物にとって目障りな力を持った大陸を滅ぼすためです。美しい大陸を守るために戦う決意を固めた十二人の女神。そしてまさに女神と魔物が衝突する瞬間、女神たちの身に着けていたそれぞれの宝石が一斉に鋭い光を発しました。それを受けて大陸中の鉱物すべてが光り出し、大陸全体が色とりどりの大きな光に包まれました。しばらくして光が収まったとき、大陸に群がっていた魔物たちのほとんどが小さな金属の塊になり、魔力の強い者はラズに姿を変えていました。
この出来事でムーアはこの石の力、大陸の力をあらためて気付かされましたが、このままではいつか大陸が魔物に滅ぼされてしまうことを恐れ、この大陸ごと天界に移動させてしまおうと考えました。不思議な石の力を借りた女神たちにとって、大陸を移動させることはさほど難しい事ではありません。しかしこの美しい大陸を地球から奪い去ってしまう事に対し、罪の意識を感じたムーアたちは、これまで作ってきた装身具を全てこの世界に残していく事にしました。これから地球を守っていくであろう未来の人間たちに向けて…。

■In ancient times, long before the dawn of human civilization, there existed
a beautiful continent other than the six major continents as we know them
today on the earth. This continent was unique in that it was characterized
by the beauty of the indigenous flowers, animals and the rivers, particularly
by the ease with which you could find many different kinds of rare minerals.
Most of those minerals had a strong potential of mysterious nature.
Mur, the goddess of art, loved the beautiful planet of earth, especially
the continent so much that she would come back and force between the heaven
and earth, and eventually forgot to go back to her heavenly kingdom, because
of a great deal of comfort the seventh continent had offered her. Ruz,
one of the native birds, had a habit of picking up their favorite minerals
and bringing them to their nests.
One day when she was designing a ring as usual, looking at the minerals Ruz dropped, her celestial friend Dite, the goddess of fertility, came by for a visit after having heard a lot about the nature. And then, a small nation was established with the twelve goddesses being central figures in no more than two hundreds years. Those goddesses would turn the minerals into jewels that fit for their respective powers, wearing accessories Mur had made for them all the time.
Several hundreds years later, a throng of demons crowded into the peaceful land of fertile soil to destroy it, because the continent had developed formidable power to those evil sprits. The twelve goddesses were determined to fight them off. No sooner had the battle begun than each of the jewels the goddesses had on started to give off sharp light all at once, causing all the minerals on the continent to shine through in unison, covering the whole continent with the rays of colorful intense light.
After a short while, when the light faded away, most of the swarming demons vanished and the rest with stronger evil force were transformed into Ruz. Although Mur recognized once again the power of the stones and the continent itself after the incident, she feared that that could be destroyed eventually by those demons, and thought moving the continent to the heaven. With the aid of the power of the stones, it was not so difficult for the goddesses to do so. However she felt guilty about the idea of taking the continent away from the earth. So she made up her mind to leave all the jewels and accessories behind for the people of future generations who would protect the earth from them on.
